Know your rights and responsibilities
.................................................................................
As with any sport, there is always the risk of injury or even death.  You need to understand these risks, and your responsibilities.  Please review our policies below.

You Should Know

your risks, rights, and responsibilities when it comes to participating in any activity which has inherent risks for injury and/or death.  Salmon King Lodge is located in a remote region of Alaska.  There is a health clinic located 12 miles away in Naknek, but the nearest trauma center is 280 miles away in Anchorage.  You will be fishing on the Naknek River, where you will experience 20+ foot tides, rapidly changing weather conditions, and exposure to wildlife.  We tell you these things not to scare you, but to make you AWARE.  It is imperative that each angler act responsibly, thereby putting no one at additional risk.

Liability Waiver

Each angler must sign a liability waiver upon their arrival at the lodge, and prior to any fishing expeditions.  If you would like to review this waiver prior to your trip, please contact us directly.

Other Policies

Children that are a minimum of ten years old are welcome at the lodge.  Children must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times.  A liability waiver must be signed for each child by the parent or guardian.

Pets cannot be accommodated at the lodge.  Anglers are fishing the majority of each day, and we do not have the facilities to board pets.

Cancellation Policy

It is very important that you review this policy and understand it, as it affects your trip booking and refund options.

Cancellations, for any reason, are very unfortunate and quite costly.  Our services and trip bookings are based on a limited season, and we are normally unable to resell dates that are canceled, as there is not enough time prior to the trip date to market the trip and contact potential clients.  To offset these costs, the following Cancellation Policy will be used.  No exceptions.

  • $100/pp - 150 days or more prior to trip date.

  • 50% of cost/pp - 149 to 120 days prior to trip date.

  • Full payment of package is due for cancellations received less than 120 days prior to trip date.

  • Cancellations must be IN WRITING in order to be valid.
